At Caedmon, we have a group of pupils who have been given the opportunity to be part of the School Council. Each year group from years 1 to 6 have two representatives. The school council meets twice every half term to represent the views of all pupils and to improve our school. With a teacher present and facilitating the meetings, the school council meet to share their ideas, talk about what is working well around school and to discuss ways to make improvements. The children take pride in their position and play an important role in our school.
The school council representatives are responsible for being the voice of the other pupils. Miss Rogers leads the School Council across school.
Buddy Bench
The School Council led the development of a ‘Buddy Bench’. The final design can be seen below.
